Exmouth 11 - 7 Devonport Services

Exmouth Nomads went to the top of the table thanks to this hard earned win.

Exmouth put pressure on Services from the start and in the 13th minute were awarded a penalty for off-side. Andrew Binmore failed with the kick.

Play was then matched until the 30th minute when Services took the lead with a converted try.

Exmouth came back into the game after this, when from a ruck, No 8 Ian Urmston drove over to score. Binmore missed the conversion.

The second half was also midfield play with the Exmouth backs having to make tackles as Services tried to go through the home side’s defence.

Superb teamwork prevailed and Exmouth put Services on the back foot with two offside decisions.

Binmore redeemed himself with the kicks in the 60th and 65th minute to clinch the win.
