Sidmouth 0 - 37 Exmouth

The Exmouth RFC second team travelled to local rivals Sidmouth for a mid table clash in the 2nd team merit table and came away worthy winners 37 points to 0. However Andy Binmore made up for the miss by kicking a penalty only minutes after the restart 8 - 0 to Exmouth. Then came two trys for winger Brad Perkins in quick succession, the first from broken play when fly half Andy Binmore picked up a loose ball weaved his way through several Sidmouth players passed to Seb Phelps who fed Brad to score, Andy Binmore converted, the second came from another break by Binmore who was this time supported by second row Jack Westlake who fed Brad to score with Andy missing the conversion that gave a score of 20 points to nil in favour of Exmouth.

With Sidmouth in the second half playing up the slope, Exmouth came out from the half time interval in a confident mood however Sidmouth caught them napping putting Exmouth under pressure for the first 10 minutes of the second half but were unable to score. Exmouth slowly came back into the game using the slope well, and with some intelligent line kicking put Sidmouth back into their half of the pitch.

From an Exmouth lineout in the Sidmouth 22 metre area came Brad Perkins third try, the lineout was secured by the Exmouth forwards the ball was fed to scrum half Paul Burder, who was celebrating his 100 game for the second team, who passed to Andy Binmore at fly half who then ran a well worked three quarter move which saw Brad going over the line unopposed, Andy got the extra two points, 30 - 0 to Exmouth.

With the game coming to an end saw Exmouth score their final try through skipper Dave Wellbelove when he picked the ball up from the base of a ruck and powered himself over the line from 10m out with Andy again converting it gave a final score line of 37 points to nil to Exmouth.
