Exmouth 64 - 3 Crewkerne

Saturday saw the Exmouth 2nd team take on Crewkerne 1st team in a friendly at the Imperial Ground, and from the off Exmouth laid their cards on the table and showed Crewkerne the style of rugby they were going to play, it was played at pace with some excellent inter play between backs and forwards.

Exmouth opened the scoring in the sixth minute of the game when man of the match Chris Ellor scored the first of Exmouth's twelve tries, there were two tries a piece for both wingers Brad Perkins and Duncan Harrison, a try each for Dave McCarthy, Dean Chisling and Donnie Lynaghan, with flanker Seb Phelps running in four tries. The game was played in a good spirit with Crewkerne playing their part in a very entertaining game of rugby unfortunately they could not live with the skill level and pace of the Exmouth players.
